Happy Endings > Maple

Maple or "Maple leaf", as she is affectionately called by almost everyone, has finally found her forever home with an amazing family! Maple's history with Rescue is a long one, but we are happy to announce that she is finally settled for good!

Maple's original owner first contacted us over two years ago, but after going back and forth about it, chose not to work with us at that time. This past year, her owner finally turned Maple over to one of our volunteers with whom she stayed in foster care for many, many months. More than a few folks considered adopting her, but nothing ever panned out. In the spring, Maple was placed briefly with a young couple, but sadly that placement did not work out.

Then, a past adopter from Rhode Island came forward. This family had several GSP rescues and we knew they could make a wonderful home for Maple. They had no issues with taking a dog with a disability. After all, Maple certainly doesn't think she is disabled! Now, this sweet girl spends her days with constant canine and human companionship. She has made fast friends with her new doggie housemates, too. Her new owners cannot believe how much of a snuggler she is! The fact that Maple is a tripod doesn't slow her down a bit and she buzzes about their yard and home! She is a strong girl with a fabulous temperament! We are all so happy that Maple has found her place and we think she is pretty happy there, too.
