Happy Endings > Kitt

Kitt (formerly named Autumn) came into our program in an unusual way. A GSP Rescue volunteer from New Jersey was visiting family in Massachusetts and noticed an ad for Kitt in the classified section of the town's local paper. The volunteer contacted us and we approached the family about surrendering their beautiful girl to us. They loved their dog, but it was obvious that she was from hunting lines and was too much for them to handle. They lived busy lives with work and children and could not give the dog what she needed. It was obvious to them that she could not spend her days on the same run as she had been doing. Kitt soon after entered into foster care with one of our volunteers in New Hampshire.

While there, she began to learn some manners and how to act like the lady she really is! Her foster mom spent lots of time with her at home and at work as she works at a doggie day care and training facility. Everyday, Kitt came to work with her and after three weeks of loving care, she was transformed. It was not long before the volunteer approached us about adopting Kitt as her own. She tells us that Kitt really is a perfect match with her Weimeraner, named Cyrus. She says they are "two peas in a pod". Her new mom also tells us that Kitt is "just the happiest little dog and so full of life!" Kitt has a huge fan club of dogs and people alike. Her new mom plans to do some field trails with her too as she seems to have natural talent for it. These days, Kitt is certainly living the good life! Don't you just love happy endings?!
