Happy Endings > Chili

Chili’s spent much of her life in her crate when she lived with a busy young family in Maine. She received little or no training with them and even less attention and exercise. When they surrendered her to Rescue she was five years old. They complained to us that when they came home after their long days at work and let her out of her crate to go outside, she would run away and not come back for hours. Imagine that! Poor Chili had no chance to enjoy the better side of life. Rescue placed her with a fabulous family on Cape Cod who had owned rescues for over 20 years. They had recently lost their aged GSP and were enamored with Chili from the first time they saw her picture. She now has 2 furry brothers and one furry sister. They all get to run the beach EVERY day and also have a large, fenced in yard where they play at their home. Each dog is baked a real pie each year on their birthday and gets to eat the whole thing themselves. Chili just loves her tennis balls, but loves to chase birds even more! Her mom tells us she hardly ever sits still because she has to make up for all the time she spent penned up in the past! Chili’s fortune has changed for the better now! What a good fortune it is!
