Happy Endings > Bruno

On July 3rd a 6 month old GSP got off the transport in Waterbury, CT. He had a long journey to get to us, but boy was it worth the wait. I cannot say enough good things about GSP Rescue New England and the wonderful people who have helped with the adoption Bruno.

Bruno was 4 month olds when he was rescued out of some bad living conditions in the Midwest. Although, he was not formally in GSP rescue, the Kennel in Kansas where he was sent felt it would be best if he went to a home familiar with GSP’s. GSP New England arranged for us to adopt Bruno. I entered into a 2 month e-mail relationship with Cathy, the kennel owner, who sent me frequent pictures and updates while Bruno was neutered , vetted and travel arrangements were made. Bruno made a stop in Little Rock, Arkansas at the AR GSP Rescue for a few weeks before finally arriving in Connecticut.

I was a little nervous committing to a dog sight unseen, but GSP New England, especially Celeste, made it an easy process. I got to know and love Bruno even before meeting or knowing him.

Bruno, despite his trials at a young age, has the nicest disposition. Everyone who meets him just falls in love with him. He is one of the calmest GSP puppies I have met. He is smart, learns fast and does everything you ask. I could not have asked for a better dog. Even Della my 5 year old GSP, who was miffed about not being the center of attention, has succumbed to his charms and they have become the best of friends. Words really cannot express my deep appreciation of GSP Rescue New England and bringing Bruno into our lives.
